Online Business

To All Readers,

Today, we would like to discuss on the topic “A Good Start…Online Business

Create Your Business Vision in three steps:

1. Create Your Vision

If you could design the ideal business, what would it look like? What kind of customers would you attract? What level of revenue would you be bringing in? 1st six months, 1 year,…..? The more questions you ask yourself, the clearer will be focus on the direction you would take, in pursuing your business goals.

2. Create Your Business Identity in Cyberspace

What qualities or values do you want to own or possess to make your vision real? Some examples are “customer-oriented,” “innovative,” “unstoppable leader,”.  A business identity is a powerful force within the marketplace in cyberspace. You choose creatively so that you can reduce expenses without sacrificing quality.

3. Commit to your vision

Along the way, you will face challenges but also opportunities. If you are not careful, you will be distracted by the noises and lose sight of your business vision. When your mind can envision the completion of your objectives (intermediate and final goals), you will more likely to achieve the desired results. Celebrate your small successes. It will add up. Always ask yourself “What can I do to bring my vision closer?”

The words of Sir Winston Churchill, “He who fails to plan, plans to fail”, should be your motto whether you are starting up on your online business or making a new challenge.

Guy Kawaski, Former chief evangelist of Apple. Co-founder of Alltop.com had written a book, “The Art of The Start” on Five Great Ideas For Starting Things:

Note:- In his book, he refers those ideas in relation to an organization, in our case, I  substitute that to a sustainable and profitable online business.

1. Make Meaning

  • The best reason to start a business is to make meaning. Eg. to create a product or service that makes the world a better place. So your first task is to decide how you can make meaning

2. Make Mantra

  • Take your meaning and make a mantra out of it.

3. Get Going

  • Start creating and delivering your product or service.  Think soldering irons, compilers, hammers, saws, and AutoCad-whatever tools you use to build products and services. Don’t focus on pitching, writing, and planning.

4. Define Your Business Model

  • No matter what kind of business you are starting, you have to figure out a way to make money. The greatest idea, technology, product, or service is short-lived, without a sustainable business model.

5. Weave a mat (Milestones, Assumptions, And Tasks)

  • The final step is to compile three lists: (a) major milestones, you need to meet;  (b) assumptions that are built into your business model; and (c) tasks you need to accomplish to create an sustainable and profitable business.
